Gateway Beyond

None of us exist in isolation.  We are all part of larger social groupings and these groups effect the way we live.  The book of Acts records how the gospel impacted the believers not just individually but socially too.  So much so in fact, that secular historians even note how the early church transformed the wider community.

Gateway is transforming school communities through Scripture Union with a number of chaplains from our congregation in local schools, Tobin Hanna co-ordinating SU Qld's chaplaincy, camping and outreach ministries in Central Queensland and Marg Tognolini leading the implementation of SU Qld's programs.

YWAM leaders, Dave & Jenni Neibling (Brisbane) and Neil & Renee Shepherd (Melbourne) are transforming communities with the help of young people from around the world.  Dave Way is working to see community transformation for prisoners and their families, through his role with Prison Fellowship.  Gateway volunteers are sharing God's love with refugees at Carewerx in Logan City.

Overseas, Gateway is working to transform community in Middle Eastern society through the work of Joh & Joseph promoting community development and business as mission, and through Shannon & Jordanna in Jerusalem.  In India, Elena trains local YWAM leaders to transform their own communities.  This is a key aspect of sharing God’s blessing.
