The 2012 challenge: Journaling
As we follow our 2012 Bible reading plan we’re calling you to keep a record of your faith journey by way of a spiritual journal.
Spending time with God in His word is not just about reading a story contained in a book. It’s a time where we meet and share with the Person of the story. It’s our opportunity to grow in knowing Him and in understanding how to find and take our place in His great story.
Keeping a journal of what God is showing us and speaking to us about will help us hear His voice as He calls us to grow deeper into Him. Throughout the year, we’ll encourage you to go back and re-read your journal. We know that you’ll discover clear threads of how He has been involved in your day to day walk of faith. You will also find those recurrent themes in what He’s been saying over time that confirm His leading in your life.
Journaling will help us in our desire to grow deeper. It’s a discipline. Discipline is not a dirty word! It is an identifiable evidence of the Holy Spirit at work in our lives helping us to grow deeper.
